This church is providing shelter to 15 Katrina evacuees. (Capacity = 110.) Volunteers are needed to help dispense relief items and serve at the church’s children’s center; volunteer nurses are needed at the church’s medical clinic.

Security volunteers are wanted for after-hours shifts.

Hours volunteers needed for standard shifts: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; security volunteers for nighttime shifts.

Volunteers should come to the church, register with the Red Cross, sign up for shifts. “No need to call first.” Minimum age for volunteers: 18.
