This agency serves as a FEMA-Red Cross-United Way distribution site for relief items (food, clothing, vouchers, etc.) being channeled to the victims of Katrina. Volunteers are needed indefinitely to help with:

(1) Unloading trucks and sort donations in the agency’s warehouse.

(2) Sorting/hanging clothes inside the agency’s main building, and

(3 ) Help distribute food to the disaster victims

Hours volunteers needed: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Individual shift times and duration can be flexible. The estimates # volunteers needed per day is about 100.

Youth volunteers down to age 9 are welcome if accompanied by adult volunteers.
