This church is providing shelter to about 250 Katrina evacuees. Volunteers are needed beginning Thursday, September 8, to serve food, distribute relief items, clean up, and help cover the phones.

Hours volunteers needed: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Volunteers should call first to schedule shifts.

Teenaged volunteers are welcome if accompanied by adult volunteers.
