Nuclear engineering students told climate is ripe for industry

According to retired Admiral Frank Bowman, the president and CEO of the Nuclear Energy Institute, the nation’s economic and energy climate is ripe for a renaissance of the nuclear power industry. The increased costs of natural gas, the need for more electricity — especially in the Southwest — and the requirement to reduce emissions means that nuclear power plants are a viable energy option for the future, retired Admiral Frank Bowman said during a lunchtime address to a group of students gathered at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

I suppose it would be a little too hokey to say nuclear energy has a glowing future.
