Moussaoui: 'No Regret, No Remorse'
Many people in America do not understand the mindset of the radical Islamic culture. Some, like Cindy Sheehan, think that the United States is at fault for provoking a peace-loving people to fight against us and the supposed atrocities we have committed against Islamic peoples. What she doesn’t know, of course, and will never realize, is that radical Islam has been a problem for some 1,400 years now. They conquered many lands and those who did not accept Islam were killed.
Even Europe was very nearly conquered by the Islamic nations. Islam controlled most of Spain, North Africa, and Portugal for almost 700 years. They controlled Hungary for 150 years. During some of that time, the Islamic rulers were relatively tolerant toward Christians and Jews. Much of the time, however, non-Muslims were treated as second-class citizens and often killed for any supposed offenses against Islam. The Battle of Tours was the turning point in history that kept the Muslims from conquering possibly all of Europe. Even still, the Ottoman Empire continued to try to conquer Europe and were repelled at the Siege of Vienna in 1529 and again at the Battle of Vienna in 1683.
It should be noted that that the Battle of Vienna began on September 11, 1683 and ended the next day. Osama bin Ladin didn’t choose the date of the the 9/11 attack on the United states by coincidence.
Zacarias Moussaoui told jurors today that he has he has “no regret, no remorse” over his role in 9/11 and only wished that his victims had suffered more. Here’s a bit from the Associated Press:
He said hearing a Navy officer sobbing in court made his day.
“So you would be happy to see 9/11 again?” Prosecutor Rob Spencer asked.
“Every day until we get you,” the bearded 37-year-old Frenchman shot back.
As court-appointed defense lawyers began the last phase of their effort to save him from execution, Moussaoui put in a second unsettling appearance on the witness stand.
For 2 1/2 hours, Moussaoui argued with defense lawyer Gerald Zerkin and Spencer about when he had been telling the truth over the last four years and whether he was sane.
In the process, he revealed why he implicated himself in 9/11 after four years of denials, how he would have defended himself, his reasons for hating America and his dream of being freed by President Bush in a prisoner exchange for captured American troops.
“Asked if he was happy to hear her sobbing, he said, ‘Make my day.’”
Among his most startling statements, Moussaoui said Army Lt. Col. John Thurman’s harrowing account of escaping the burning Pentagon left him with “regret that he didn’t die.”
He mocked a Navy officer who wept as she described the death of two subordinates in the attack on the Pentagon.
“I think it was disgusting for a military person” to cry, Moussaoui said of Lt. Nancy McKeown. “She is military. She should expect people at war with her to want to kill her.”
Asked if he was happy to hear her sobbing, he said, “Make my day.”
He noted many relatives of victims wept on the witness stand, then walked past him in the courtroom and looked his way without crying. “I find it disgusting that people come here to share their grief over the death of some other person,” he said.
“I’m glad there was pain, and I wish there will be more pain,” Moussaoui said.

In a lengthy explanation of why he hates Americans, Moussaoui said Islam requires Muslims to be the world’s superpower as he flipped through a copy of the Quran searching for verses to support his assertion. He said one verse requires Muslims “to fight against all who believe not in Allah.”
“We have an obligation to be the superpower. You have to be subdued,” Moussaoui said. “America is a superpower and you want to eradicate Islam.”
NO COINCIDENCE

America needs to understand that we are at total war with radical Islam. We should have treated the imams and other religious leaders in Iraq and Afghanistan as war criminals. Any religious leader who continues to preach the hatred of radical Islam either should either agree to stop or face prison. The de-Nazification of Germany after World War II was a difficult thing that took time. We cannot be cowed by understanding radical Islam to be a religion — it’s a mindset of hatred, war, and subjugation.
If we don’t do what we need to do now, we will be fighting a nuclear war with radical Islamic countries within 10 years. The Iranians already have missiles that can reach Turkey, Israel, and southern parts of Europe. They are developing missiles with longer ranges and will soon be able to launch them against Germany, France, and possibly even England.
Moussaoui is not crazy or a loner — he is merely expressing the core beliefs of radical Islam. America needs to listen to what he is saying and understand it for what it is.

I cannot for the life of me imagine he is sane. I must be insane. But, it seems reality does not want to conform to my desires. Thanks for a very enlightening and well-written post.
