Time for a Ku Klux Klan President?

According to the Democrats, it is.

The Democrats passed a resolution today placing Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia as President Pro Temporare of the Senate, meaning that he is third in line to the presidency. Yes, we have a former Ku Klux Klan leader — not just a former member — only 3 heartbeats away from the presidency. Byrd also filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Would the mainstream media let this stand if Byrd were a Republican? Of course not, but then again the American media have a different set of standards for Democrats.
