Two words:  Good riddance.

Okay, twelve words since he is an esteemed senator:  Don't let the door hit ya' where the good Lord split ya'.

Chuck Hagel: Doofus and Traitor

Chuck Hagel: Doofus and Traitor

Hagel is the kind of Republican that Democrats love. In other words, he's corrupt (take a gander back in time to see what he wanted to do to campaign finance reform), he's a liberal, he's a traitor to his country, but calls himself a Republican because that's the only way he can get elected in Nebraska. I've been to Nebraska. Okay, I've driven for about an hour through Nebraska. It was a nice place. Mostly rural and agricultural, it should be home to a loyal, conservative senator. Hardworking, salt-of-the-earth people don't vote for liberals because they know that they will get, um, messed around (this is a family blog, after all). Instead, Hagel has hoodwinked Nebraska conservatives into believing that he's a conservative because he runs under the Republican banner. Nothing could be further from the truth. All one has to do is read the Omaha World Herald to get a (sickening) feel for Chucky-Boy:

Armed with a deep voice and somber demeanor, Hagel rose quickly in the Senate, developing an international reputation perhaps faster than any previous Nebraska lawmaker.

He has become a leading Senate voice on foreign policy, promoting a pragmatic approach of reaching out to allies and adversaries alike to build economic, social and political relationships.

A decorated Vietnam combat veteran, Hagel drew the most attention for his break with the Republican president on Iraq.

Early this year, his frustration erupted after Bush announced plans for a troop buildup to try to curb violence in Iraq. Hagel labeled it "the worst foreign policy blunder since Vietnam - if it's carried out."

...

With a telegenic personality, Hagel has become a fixture on the Sunday TV talk show circuit, racking up more than 100 appearances. The topic often was foreign policy, Hagel's strongest passion.

As a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he has traveled widely overseas, building relationships with foreign leaders that have given him a personal and independent view of foreign policy matters.

Hagel always freely expressed his opinions, often in a provocative manner. His temper can flare as it frequently has against the Bush administration over Iraq. Friends say that passion, coupled with his intelligence, have made him unusual in Washington.

Passion, intelligence. What a steaming pile. A telegenic pesonality who has become a fixture on the Sunday TV talk show circuit. What that means is that Hagel has such a huge ego that nothing comes between him and a camera.

Check out this quote from the story above:

He recalled Congress' silence during much of Vietnam, as well as the 58,000 Americans who died. He said he didn't want that history to repeat itself.

"I'll be damned if I'm going to stand there and accept the status quo and let it all happen again," he said.

Hey, Hagel -- Vietnam, or rather what happened to the regions after the U.S. surrendered, WILL happen again if you and the Surrendercrats Democrats, have their way. Surrendering to the terrorists would be the worst foreign policy disaster since Vietnam.

How many people died in re-education camps in Vietnam after the U.S. surrendered. I know people who spent time in those camps -- it was hell on earth. There's a large Vietnamese community a few miles down the road from us called Little Saigon. I don't know why the Vietnamese came here after what we did to Vietnam by surrendering. Pol Pot had free rein in Cambodia and an estimated 2 million people died. If the Democrats have their way and we surrender in Iraq, we can expect millions dead in the Middle East and attacks on America and western countries that will make 9/11 look like a picnic.

Chucky, if you're too dumb to understand the consequences of surrender in Iraq, get the heck out of the Senate now and let the adults run the show.
