3:39 — Will make Bush’s tax cuts permanent.
3:45 — McCain intends to stay on offense on defending ourselves from radicals. Mentions Iran.
3:47 — Reiterates pro-life stance. “Denying liberty is an offense to nature and nature’s Creator.”
3:48 — Good speech and good reception.
McCain did much better than I expected. The crowd was warmer than I had expected, too. Am I warming up to McCain? Possibly. Some of the anti-McCain hysteria over the past several days has been over the top. He will never be my first choice, but I might be able to vote for him without holding my nose, only holding a nice bouquet.
