More than half of Gazans depend on UN food supplies to eat. For electricity and water, they depend on Israel. When Israel is about to attack, it sends thousands of recorded calls in Arabic telling Gazan citizens to evacuate.

Gazans complain about the blockade by Egypt and Israel. Yet the blockade is only there because Gaza began launching mortars and rockets at Israel within hours after Israel pulled out in 2005. Since then, Gaza has lobbed more than 3,000 rockets and mortars at Israel. Now that the Israelis have decided to fight back they are being blamed for “disproportionate response.”
