10 reasons I'm not a liberal

  1. Leave me the hell alone and get out of my way. Lower my taxes and let me decide how to save and spend the money that I’ve worked very hard to earn.
  2. I am an optimist. Liberals are, by nature, pessimists. They also smell.
  3. I am so danged tired of the liberal obsession with bumper stickers. Every time I drive, I see lice-infested hippies slowly driving itty-bitty cars pasted with Obama stickers, Hate is Not A Family Value stickers, Bush Lied, People Died stickers, Liberate Palestine stickers, and Kick my Butt Because I’m Stoopid stickers. People who think that bumper stickers are the loftiest form of intellect are sheep. Did I mention that they also smell?
  4. I am a compassionate person. I care for and want to help the sick, the elderly, the oppressed, and the poor. While I believe that some government aide is necessary, charities are far more efficient than government bureaucracies at solving problems.
  5. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are rigidly controlled by congress. We’ve seen how well that little experiment worked out. But, hey, what could possibly go wrong if we let the government run every business in the country?
  6. british_pliers226.jpgEngland is the land of good manners and bad teeth. Why? Because Britain’s nationalized health care is so poor and inefficient that people have resorted to do-it-yourself dentistry. I say, do please pass me the pliers, Mrs. Burnyer-Backside.
  7. Happiness is a warm gun.
  8. Take France. Please. Obama and the Democrats want to model the United States economy on European soft-socialism. In 2005, the unemployment rate for France was 9.5%. In the same year, the US unemployment rate was 5.08%. Good times in Europe are worse than bad times in the US.
  9. Dissent is the highest form of patriotism — unless the Democrats are in charge.
  10. Liberals had a fit when Bush monitored calls made outside of the country to suspected terrorists. The press refused to get the story right and stupid liberals believed that Bush was spying onn every American. Yet I’ve not heard one liberal complain about Obama’s plan to place GPS monitors in every car in America.
